A Plumber and a little known fact
Archaeologists have recovered a portion of a water plumbing system from the Pyramid of Cheops in Egypt. The evidence of indoor plumbing in palaces dates back to 2500 B.C.
Nintendo's most famous characters, Mario and Luigi of Super Mario Bros. fame, are both plumbers.
Trade Professional
The plumbing is another critical trade that’s in demand at almost every stage of the building and construction process, from the installation of foul water and land drains to intricate pipe work connecting a central heating system. Plumbing as a profession is incredibly diverse and often requires a high level of multi skill sets that call for more than a fair share of certification. Commercial and domestic plumbers not only have to have served a certified apprenticeship but have to be registered as gas connection engineers (CORGI registered) as well, to be able to commission much of the work that they undertake. Because of this required higher skill set, plumbing in the modern age is regarded by many as a professional enterprise rather than a trade.
Plumbers more than most other trades find themselves having to work without heat, either because they have been commissioned to install a heating system or are repairing a system. Either way on a new or old build the fundamentals of keeping warm and dry still apply. Working outside as a plumber is demanding at the best of time. When you are physically active your body produces heat and moisture. If your body becomes too hot your body will feel uncomfortable and your ability to concentrate is impaired. At the same time, if you perspire and your underwear becomes wet, the risk of excessive heat loss is high. So during varied activity especially in cold conditions you are likely to both become too warm then too cold, depending on the intensity of the activity, almost a no win situation.
