Cold Weather Clothing
Exposure to cold conditions is an everyday occurrence in many northern hemisphere countries. Low temperatures and wind make a strong protective outer layer necessary. Helly Hansen Workwear presents a broad collection of lined windproof winter clothing for craftsmen, engineers, agronomists and other people who spend time in places where the cold is a challenge. The cold may adversely affect comfort, performance and health at work, so low temperatures also represent a threat to workers ‘and employers’ safety and productivity.
Warm and Comfortable
Exposure to wind as well as cold results in rapid heat loss. But garments that protect against the wind must also allow the release of excess heat during hard work. The answer is to choose clothing that helps you maintain an even, comfortable body temperature, by storing heat in the thermal layer and protecting you from the wind. Our insulating windproof garments have been designed for precisely this purpose. To provide adequate protection against wind and cold in varying work situations, we offer different combinations of fabric and insulating materials. The garments are made of top-quality fabrics including Oxford nylon, beaver nylon and polyester. Insulating materials like quilting, pile, down, polyester padding or Thinsulate® protect against the cold.
The Important 3-Layer System
For optimal use garments should be adjusted through the day, according to the intensity of the work and changes in temperature. So winter garments should be roomy enough to let you wear a jacket or fibre pile trousers underneath them. Underwear, thermal layer and protection layer are combined to create the flexible 3-layer system. This allows you to adapt your clothing to the prevailing conditions. There are several variants of our insulating windproof garments. Jackets, trousers, suits etc. are equipped for the IMS/Click.on™ system so that you can easily fasten tools, electronic equipment, etc. The collection also includes visibility clothing. These garments have been approved to EN 342 and EN 471.

Think Unity
When choosing Workwear, it is important to consider the whole package. The first few pages of this catalogue tell you about the Helly Hansen Workwear 3-layer system and the advantages of dressing in layers. In the same way that your quality outer jacket can only work at its best with an insulating layer underneath, so good boots - for example can only work at their best with good quality socks. Think unity when you look at our extensive collection of accessories. It comprises a broad range of socks, gloves, mittens, caps and more.
